Kate Middleton visits University College London
Today, 39-year-old Kate Middleton visited University College London to talk with leading experts about their new study "Children of the 2000s". In public, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared in a black and white plaid dress and gray high-heeled shoes.
The new study will focus on the holistic development of children aged nine months to five years. It is noted that it will give an idea of the most important aspects of early childhood, as well as the factors that support or hinder positive results throughout life.
The Duchess, who is herself a mother of three children, noted the great importance of this research.
Our early childhood shapes our adult life. Knowing what has the greatest impact at this important time is fundamental to understanding what we as a society can do to improve our future health and happiness. I am committed to supporting deeper research in this vital area and am happy to meet with everyone responsible for research at this early stage,
- she noted.
Over the past ten years, Kate has spent a lot of time studying that the causes of problems such as addiction, family breakdown, poor mental health, homelessness, can be rooted in the earliest years of life.Through her work with the charity The Royal Foundation, she strives to highlight how what we experience in early childhood affects the development of our brain, and that is why positive relationships, the environment and the experience gained during this period are so important.
