According to the publication, the yacht belongs to Russian Suleiman Kerimov, who is included in the Western sanctions list and is one of the closest advisers to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kerimov's fortune is estimated at $ 14.6 billion.
According to the publication, the 106-meter yacht docked in the port of Lautoka without permission on Tuesday, returning from Mexico. According to the current legislation in Fiji, before entering the port, the vessel had to obtain the permission of several departments: the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Trade and Transport and the Department of Immigration. The Fiji Police are investigating and finding out the identity of the owner.
