Kim Kardashian has officially become a billionaire
Today, Forbes magazine for the first time included in the list of billionaires of the world 40-year-old TV star Kim Kardashian.
Back in October, Kim's fortune was estimated at $ 780 million, but now it is already a billion. Most of Kardashian's earnings came from her two successful businesses-the cosmetics brand KKW Beauty and the underwear and homewear brand Skims.
The star launched the KKW Beauty brand in 2017 after seeing how successful her younger sister Kylie Jenner's cosmetics company Kylie Cosmetics was.
Last year, Kim sold 20% of KKW Beauty to Coty for $ 200 million, which valued the Kardashian company at one billion dollars.
She founded the Skims brand in 2019 and "shot" with it during the pandemic, expanding the range and starting to produce comfortable clothing for the home, which was very useful during the isolation. Kim owns a majority stake in the company, which does not disclose its earnings.
Of course, don't forget about Kim's advertising contracts, as well as her income from social networks (she has more than 213 million followers on Instagram alone). In addition, the star stars in the popular family reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, interest in which has especially grown amid the divorce of the star with her husband Kanye West.
Kim's younger sister, 23 — year-old Kylie Jenner, was also included in the Forbes list of billionaires. However, it turned out that her status was fake. After calculating that Jenner's fortune is actually just under $ 900 million, Forbes stripped her of the honorary title in May last year. Until then, she held the title of the youngest billionaire under the age of 21.
