The father of American singer Nicki Minaj, Robert Maraj, was killed by a car. The driver fled the scene of the crime, now the police are looking for him.

NYPD says Robert was walking down the road when he was hit by a car on Friday night. Cops say the driver fled the scene.

Robert was hospitalized in critical condition. He died in hospital from his injuries.

Nicki Minaj has not yet publicly reacted to the death of her father.
