Amber Heard said in an interview that she still loves Johnny Depp

The second part of Amber Heard's exclusive interview with NBC News appeared on the network, from which viewers learned that she still loves Johnny Depp. The actress mentioned her feelings for her ex-husband during the scandalous trial and repeated her words during the interview. In response to the journalist's question whether she still feels love for Johnny after everything that happened, Amber replied: "Absolutely."

I love him. I loved him with all my heart. And I tried my best to make our completely broken relationship work out, but I couldn't,

Amber said.

I don't have any bad feelings or ill will towards him. I know it may be hard to understand, but it's very easy to understand if you've ever loved someone,

— the actress added.

In the second part of the interview, Heard also shared her thoughts on how she was perceived by the public during this process. After the journalist asked Heard about the text in which Depp promised her "complete global humiliation," she replied:

I'm not the best victim, I understand. I'm not a pretty victim, I'm not a perfect victim. But when I testified, I asked the jury to see me and hear his own words, in which there was a promise to do this.

Depp sued Heard for $50 million, claiming she slandered him in a 2018 Washington Post article. In it, Amber wrote about her experience of domestic violence, but the name of the abuser was not mentioned. She filed a counterclaim for $100 million. As a result, the jury awarded Depp $10 million in damages and $5 million in penalties after it turned out that Heard had slandered the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star. According to the counterclaim, she was awarded $ 2 million.

Heard plans to appeal the verdict, which she says is disappointing and a setback for victims of abuse. The actress also noted that she fears repeated prosecution for libel.

I'm afraid that no matter what I do, no matter what I say and no matter how I say it, every step I take will give another opportunity for this kind of silence. It seems to me that the defamation suit is designed to take away your vote,

— said the actress.

Amber also added that she believes she did the right thing and "did everything she could to stand up for herself and for the truth."

As for the future, Heard said she can now focus on fully dedicating herself to her one-year-old daughter. The actress also denied the report that she would be completely cut out of the second part of Aquaman.
