I have a huge number of concerts now. I enjoy my work and am grateful to the universe for the opportunity to go on stage and bring joy to people. I released a remix of "Bad Girl" with young rappers TRAUMA, SKIDRI and DVRKLXGHT. It is difficult for people to remember the names of these talented guys. I'm in awe of them, this is a new school, new energy for me: I drink the blood of young boys, I'm a witch. The result was not a remix, but a new work of art. The guys are cool, I’m learning how to work from them in a new way. Because in my era everything was different. Everything happens very quickly and quickly with them, everyone works on the tracks together, everyone brings something of their own.

How to stay trendy over the years

I'm actually peeing into the wind. Society is trying to convince me that I no longer have the same status, the wrong age, this is already indecent. That the group "Vintage" should sound traditional. I'm talking about journalists, about radio, about people who are close to me and have influence on me. They constantly tell me that I have no right to experiment. And I want to do the opposite. With a remix of "Bad Girl" and so it was: everyone was against it. And at such a moment, the worst girl in domestic show business, Anechka Pletnyova, appears and says: “And I will do it.” I have had the desire to experiment, not be afraid, and inner freedom since childhood.

About motherhood and raising children

My children are 20, 17 and 14 years old. I'm a great mom, I think I'm a great mom. Despite the fact that many times they tried to explain to me that I was a bad mother, that I had no right to live the way I live: to give birth to children and fly off on tour, abandon them. I haven’t regretted for a second that I continued my work. Now that the children have grown up, I see how proud they are of me, how much they are my fans. How happy they are because they grew up with a person who was happy and never accused them of sacrificing his career for them. At the same time, I fed each child until six months.

Now, in fact, I am sure that I did everything right. Although my children were bullied because of me at school, they were sometimes embarrassed by me when they showed me on the covers of Maxim and Playboy.

Even though I worked hard, I invested maximum of my energy, my time and love into them. Our children are very educated; they speak five languages. The eldest Varvara studies at the university and wants to be a veterinarian. This is her passion. My youngest daughter Marusya is a unique girl, with the appearance of a goddess. It is impossible to walk down the street with her: everyone is looking at her. She plays all the instruments and is an amazing actress. Now she is working like a horse to finish the French school, where the program is difficult. And son Kirill is me. He's just a copy of me. I always told my children that if you find something you love, you will never have to work a day in your life. I live like this myself.

About my husband's recovery after an accident

Anna Pletnyova's husband, businessman Kirill Syrov, was involved in a motorcycle accident in October 2021. The singer learned about the accident a few minutes before the start of her concert, which she did not cancel.

He went through a very terrible path, we went through it together. The most important thing when something like this happens to you is to have someone close to you who goes with you. He walks shoulder to shoulder and doesn’t leave you. The fact that he is now in such good condition is our joint work with him.

I was informed that he had an accident before the concert. I didn't have any thoughts. I don't remember this moment. He was supposed to come to the concert; I had been preparing this concert for a very long time. For the first time in my life, I was 100% ready for the show, I even thought about what to say to people from the stage. And it saved me. My autopilot turned on. Before the concert, I couldn’t reach him by phone, and at that time he was actively riding a motorcycle, I had intuitive anxiety. 15 minutes before going on stage I was informed about the accident.

I remember that I drank half a liter of whiskey and went on full autopilot to perform, but I don’t remember a single minute of this concert. It’s scary to watch the recording of this concert; there was an empty place on the stage. I still can’t watch this concert, it’s a psychological trauma for me. Towards the end of the concert, I was informed that he was alive and was being operated on. Then there were two years of intensive care, operations, now everything is fine

The secret to a happy family life

We've been together for 18 and a half years. The secret to the success of family life is our busyness at work. Each of us is a self-realized person who is passionate about his work. We are equal partners. I respect him, and he respects me because I am independent, I walk through life confidently.

About the only conflict with my husband over work

When we released the song "Bad Girl", we released the album "Sex". We did a photo shoot for the album, where I sat blindfolded, and on the tape on my face it was written F**k me (fuck me. - Ed.). We were inspired by Madonna, we stole a lot from her and are not shy about it. We released a CD with this photo, and I brought the disc home. And this was the only time when I could not convince my husband. And I realized that either I would lose my family or I would compromise. And I made a decision: we burned the entire first batch of disks, and it was very expensive. A lot of money and a lot of disks. Every night we took a lot of disks to a garbage dump and burned them in giant batches.
