Kate Middleton, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Prince George collected Christmas gifts for families in need

Kate Middleton and her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis visited Windsor Baby Bank, a charity that helps families in need. Together they sorted donations and collected Christmas gifts.

The organization's director, Rebecca Mistry, asked the children to choose gifts for their peers. Louis, known for his playful antics at official events, looked inspired as he sorted through bags of toys for disadvantaged children and pulled out a huge plastic King Kong.

Kensington Palace shared a video of the trip. At the beginning of the video, Prince William's wife, dressed in a white turtleneck jumper, helps George, Charlotte and Louis put down boxes and tells them: “There are a lot of volunteers who come and help. So, you are the volunteers for this evening. You will feel how rewarding this kind of work is, knowing that you are helping others.”

Catherine’s visit with the children itself took place as part of the Royal Foundation’s Christmas initiative to support families in need. Windsor Baby Bank was founded by two mothers in 2015 and has since supported more than 24,000 families in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

"They stayed here for probably one and a half to two hours. They kept asking if there was anything else they could do and if they could come again. Charlotte said she would definitely come back, and we said we could sign her up for the summer holidays,” said Rebecca Mistry.

The soaring cost of living has led to an increase in calls: in the first three months of the year alone, the team helped 300 families, providing baby kits, nappies, strollers and cots.
