Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized in January, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia. Later, he developed sepsis, which is why doctors were forced to amputate the skater’s feet, and later his fingers. Despite this, the skater relearned how to write, drive a car, and later went on the ice.
