Sydney Sweeney stars on the cover of Marie Claire Australia
Star of the series "Euphoria" and "White Lotus" Sydney Sweeney stars on the cover and photo shoot for the January issue of Marie Claire Australia. In an interview with the publication, the actress said that she is not at all like her character Cassie from Euphoria. (for this role she was nominated for an Emmy Award), which was remembered by the audience not only for its frank images, but also for its shocking behavior.
The heroine Sydney Sweeney divided fans of the series into two camps: some love Cassie, others hate her.
"I have a big soft spot for Cassie. She means a lot to me from a human perspective and as a character. She's great to play. She is so eccentric, but it always comes from sincere feelings: resentment, pain or even sometimes happiness. Many people misunderstand her, but she constantly hides her emotions, and I love her very much,” said the actress.
Sweeney added that she herself is not at all like her heroine: in her youth she was a “good girl” and now experiences standard teenage school traumas through his characters.
"I did all my homework, studied with straight A's. I was friends with everyone, but I was a little quiet. I never went to school parties. I was just a homebody and sometimes hung out with friends. I was always the driver: if necessary, I would pick up my friends from a party and take them home, and then take care of them at home. I didn't really have a crazy high school experience. Instead, I experience a lot of traumatic school events through my characters."
Sweeney previously said that because of the provocative scenes in "Euphoria" She faced criticism: people considered her to be promiscuous for this role. The actress appealed to fans with a request “not to confuse her with her heroine.”
