Actress Mia Goth accused of beating her on set
Extra actor James Hunter filed a lawsuit against Mia Goth, the wife of Shia LaBeouf and the leading actress in the film trilogy about a psychopath who dreams of becoming a star (“X”, “Pearl”, “Maxine”). Deadline reports this.
The man accused the actress of beating her. During the filming of the final part of the trilogy, he portrayed a “dead parishioner” and lay on the ground for several hours, smeared in fake blood, “enduring ants and mosquitoes.” According to James, in the scene with Mia, the actress was supposed to step over his body, looking down, and continue running, but Goth was careless and almost stepped on the “corpse” on the fourth take.
Hunter complained about her negligence to the assistant director, who relayed his comments to Mia. As a result, in the very next take, Goth deliberately kicked the man in the head - or so the statement says. Hunter claims that after a tiring day at work, Mia not only did not apologize, but also “taunted” him while he was removing his makeup.
After the incident, Hunter experienced pain and dizziness; he could not safely drive home and was forced to stop on the side of the road. After going to the doctor, James learned that he had a concussion. But that's not all. The lawsuit says that the day after the incident, Hunter's agency abruptly informed him that he was being fired from the project, even though his contract required him to work three more days.
Now James is seeking compensation from both Mia Goth for causing injury, and from the film's director, Ti West, and A24 for wrongful dismissal. He expects to receive a payment of 500 thousand dollars (about 43 million rubles).
