Angelina Jolie lost her lawsuit against Brad Pitt over the sale of a stake in their family vineyard to a Russian billionaire
Angelina Jolie lost another lawsuit against her ex-husband Brad Pitt - she tried to challenge the decision of the Los Angeles Supreme Court, which upheld her ex-husband's claims that she sold her share in their family vineyard Chateau Miraval to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler without his consent in 2021 year. This was reported by DailyMail.
Jolie called Pitt's lawsuit "frivolous, malicious and part of a problematic scheme."
Brad Pitt accused his ex-wife of the fact that after their scandalous separation in 2016, the actress sold her share in the vineyard to Yuri Shefler. According to Pitt, by doing this she violated the agreement according to which they have the right to be the first to buy out the share from their partner. Jolie herself claims that there was no such agreement, and Pitt mismanaged the family business. Thus, Jolie stated in one of the lawsuits that in business Pitt behaved “like a capricious child.”
Pitt also previously claimed that Scheffler tried to intimidate him by demanding that he publicly announce their collaboration. The actor himself intends to fight to the end to defend his innocence. “He has poured his heart and soul into Chateau Miraval and feels like the ground has been pulled out from under him. He doesn’t know for sure who he’s really doing business with,” say insiders close to him.
Last year, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt settled another issue - the custody of their six children: adopted Zahara, Pax and Maddox, and biological Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox. True, Pitt’s relationship with his children, apparently, has not gotten any better: at least, his adopted children continue to distance themselves from him. According to close friends of the couple, Angelina Jolie is setting them up against him.
