Ryan Gosling, who rocked the recent Oscars with his performance of "I'm Just Ken," told People magazine how his wife Eva Mendes and their two daughters supported him ahead of the event.

"It was great. It was a lot of fun because they came to the dress rehearsal the night before and they were in the front row. They gave me some advice and made some comments and they were all just great comments." What exactly Mendes and his daughters, 9-year-old Esmeralda and 7-year-old Amada, told him is not specified, but the show clearly worked.

"They're a huge part of this for me... it was my girls' interest in Barbie and lack of interest in Ken that brought me to this in the first place. It was wonderful to see them there at the end," he added.

In the comments, she also explained that she and her husband never go on the red carpet together and do not pose - the exception was their joint film “The Place Beyond the Pines,” which they presented after the premiere. Ryan and Eva met in 2011 on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines and began dating. In 2014, they had a daughter, Esmeralda, and in 2016, a daughter, Amada. Earlier, Eva Mendes confirmed rumors that she and Gosling got married.
