Bulgaria will begin issuing Schengen visas to Russians

Bulgaria will begin issuing Schengen visas to Russian citizens for the first time. TASS reports this with reference to the Bulgarian Embassy. Visas will be available starting April 1. The wait for a visa will be approximately the same as for other Schengen countries.

“The consular service of the Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow and the Consulate General in St. Petersburg will handle the submission of applications for Schengen visas,” the country’s embassy said in a statement.

It is clarified that Schengen visas type C, which were issued before March 31, will only be valid for entry into Bulgaria and travel to Romania and Cyprus, and type D visas, which can be obtained from April 1, can be used for short trips to the countries Schengen area.
