Former Hollywood star Amanda Bynes is training to become a nail technician
Amanda Bynes, 38, who was once known in Hollywood as an up-and-coming actress, is studying to become a nail technician and plans to soon find work in a nail salon. Bynes tried to take the exam back in 2022 to get a permanent job, but things stalled. Now she's back to school: "I went back to school to learn about manicure theory and practice applying gel polish before taking the exam again. So I'll be ready to work in a nail salon," she said on social media.
Amanda Bynes was a real star of the 2000s, she often starred in comedies, for example, “She's the Man,” “Love on an Island,” “What a Girl Wants” and others, but due to drug and alcohol addiction she had to leave her career. It got to the point that in 2013, after several arrests for drunk driving, assault on a fan and attempted theft, a guardian was appointed to her through the court. He became the mother of the actress.
For several years, Amanda Bynes was under guardianship, but in 2019 she made an attempt to improve her life and received an associate's degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing. However, after a short time, she had to again seek help in the fight against addiction: she went to a psychiatric clinic after she was noticed naked on the street.
At the end of 2023, Amanda Bynes launched her own podcast, Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast, although she abandoned it after the first episode, saying that it was not her priority. At the same time, she had plastic surgery, calling it "one of the best things she could do for her confidence."
