Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed that there will be a third season of the series “Just Like That,” which is a continuation of the cult “Sex and the City,” and work on it is already underway. The actress published a photo on social networks with the script of a new project in which she plays the main role.

The actors of the original series will work on the film in a truncated cast - without Kim Cattrall, who played the role of Samantha. The actress herself refused to participate in the sequel to Sex and the City, although, according to rumors, her conflict with Sarah Jessica Parker played a significant role in this. In the second season of Just Like That, she appeared in a scene in which her character is talking on the phone with Carrie Bradshaw, and Cattrall did not intersect with Sarah Jessica Parker on the set.

The Sex and the City sequel was heavily criticized online, and not just because of Samantha's absence from it. Many did not like the style of the heroines, others were outraged by the inappropriate jokes and storyline: they were especially negative about the decision of the married Miranda to have an affair on the side. Some viewers also said they didn't want to see their favorite heroines "with wrinkles on their faces," after which actresses Kristin Davis and Sarah Jessica Parker accused critics of ageism.

The series "Sex and the City" ran from 1998 to 2004. It tells the story of four friends who live in New York. The project became a cult, and the images of the heroines formed the basis of many fashion trends. After the end of the series, two full-length films were shot, and later the project received a continuation - the series “And Just Like That,” which premiered in 2021.
