Beyonce's mother says her daughter was bullied as a child
Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles said that her daughter faced bullying as a child.
"She was shy and got bullied a little bit," she told Vogue. But, according to Tina, Beyoncé could stand up for others if she thought they needed help.
"The day she stood up for someone - she didn't stand up for herself, she stood up for others. I still get very emotional talking about that. I couldn't be more proud of her," she added.
Tina also mentioned Solange's youngest daughter and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland, who grew up in her family. Tina said Kelly, whom she considers a daughter, "was always the kid who was just trying to protect everyone." Recently, Kelly Rowland found herself at the center of a scandal at the Cannes Film Festival, having publicly quarreled on the red carpet with one of the security guards: the woman was rushing her and did not allow her to pose for photographers. It’s interesting that after Kelly, the same employee had conflicts with two more stars.
"Every child is individual! Everyone is so special. I believe that children are born with their own personality. Never compare flaws, always praise positive differences and always try to brag about them. They love it and behave much better," Tina concluded Knowles.
Previously, Tina Knowles stood up for Beyonce when the singer faced criticism after photos of her with blond hair and fair skin appeared online. After this, the singer was condemned and also compared to Kim Kardashian, who not so long ago was also a blonde. Tina Knowles criticized the haters and called them racists.
