"I'm bloated and going bald." Jude Law spoke about his appearance
Jude Law spoke about his appearance in an interview with DuJour magazine. According to him, he used to not like the roles of “handsome men”, where the emphasis is on appearance, but now it’s too late, because he doesn’t look the same as in his youth.
“I never wanted to play handsome guys, but there were roles that required charm. When I was in my early 20s, I didn’t try to play on my appearance. But now that I’m flabby and balding, I would like it,” said 51 -year-old actor.
He notes that lately he has been playing characters who were not at all attractive. For example, one of his last works was the role of King Henry VIII in the film "Instigator", where he starred with Alicia Vikander.
He got so used to this role that he decided to reproduce not only the unpleasant appearance of the hero, but also his smell. “I read that Henry could be smelled three rooms away. He had a rotting wound on his leg, and he tried to cover it up with rose oil. I thought if I smelled terrible it would add to the effect of my character,” the actor said and said that he used special perfume with the smell of sweat, blood and feces. At first he used perfume a little at a time, but then he got carried away.
Despite the actor’s words that he did not like to use his appearance to gain popularity, he has several such roles to his credit. The most famous is the role of playboy Dickie Greenleaf in the 1999 film “The Talented Mr. Ripley.”
Jude's place as one of the main Hollywood heartthrobs was taken by the 27-year-old son of actor Rafferty. He already has several romances with star girls, including singer Rita Ora and ex-girlfriend of Brooklyn Beckham, model Hannah Cross.
His daughter Iris Lowe also followed in the actor’s footsteps, who in 2022 starred in the series “Pistol,” based on the memoirs of Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones. In addition, the girl is building a career as a model: at the age of 17, Iris made her debut on the catwalk at the Burberry show, and later collaborated with the fashion houses Miu Miu, Dior, Versace, and starred for magazines such as The Face and Interview.
