Kate Middleton spoke for the first time about her battle with cancer
Kate Middleton has spoken out for the first time since she revealed that she was being treated for cancer. The 42-year-old Princess of Wales posted on Instagram*, thanking fans for their support and telling how she was doing.
"I'm making good progress, but as anyone who's been through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. On the bad days, you feel weak and tired and you have to rest your body. On the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to Make the most of my good health. The treatment continues and will continue for several more months. On the days when I feel relatively well, I like to do schoolwork, spend time on things that give me energy and positivity, and also work from home a little." .
Kate noted that she is now trying to look at things differently: "I am learning to be patient, especially in times of uncertainty. To take each day as it comes, listen to my body and allow myself time to heal."
The Duchess of Wales also said she would be making a public appearance soon: "I'm looking forward to attending the King's Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to take part in a few public events this summer, but at the same time I know that the worst is not yet over."
She also thanked everyone who has supported her and William: "I have been overwhelmed by all the kind words of support and encouragement I have received over the past few months. It has truly meant a lot to William and I and has helped us both get through some of our darkest moments.
