'Alf' star Benji Gregory dies along with his dog
The star of the cult series "Alf" Benji Gregory has died at the age of 46. The actor died under strange circumstances: he was found dead in his car in a parking lot in Arizona. His dog Hans was in the car with him, and he also died. His sister Rebecca reported the death of the star.
A relative of Benji told TMZ that the tragedy occurred on June 13 in the city of Peoria. According to the publication, Gregory was found in a parking lot near a Chase bank, and the preliminary cause of death is heat stroke. According to Rebecca, the actor suffered from depression, bipolar disorder, and a sleep disorder for several years, due to which he often did not sleep for several days in a row.
Close friends and relatives of the actor suggest that on the day of his death, Benji went to the bank but fell asleep in his car right in the parking lot. Given the intense summer heat in Arizona, where the air temperature can reach 41 degrees, they believe that Gregory could have died from heat stroke. The same fate probably awaited the actor's dog.
Benji Gregory began acting at the age of one and a half, but gained worldwide fame for his role as Brian Tanner in the TV series "ALF". He appeared in 101 episodes of the show between 1986 and 1990. The actor then attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco, starred in a couple more projects, but left the film industry in 2003 to serve in the US Army.
