Former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, who left the White House amid sex scandal, marries billionaire Alex Soros
Billionaire Alex Soros, son of famed investor George Soros, asked Huma Abedin to marry him about six weeks ago, but the couple only officially confirmed it now. Abedin posted a confession on Instagram*.
In a photo posted by Abedin, 38, Alex Soros is kneeling in front of her. "It happened... We couldn't be more happy, grateful and in love."
Abedin and Soros, 38, revealed they were dating on Valentine's Day, posting a joint photo on Instagram* from a Parisian restaurant. They walked the Met Gala red carpet together in May.
"It's a classic Clinton couple. Alex is a perfect match for Huma. He's insanely rich and powerful, and that's all that matters to Huma," Page Six quotes a former senior Clinton aide as saying.
To recap, Huma Abedin is a longtime Democratic Party operative and former vice chair of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, while Alex is the chairman of the Open Society Foundations, a philanthropic organization founded by his father, who was a major donor to Hillary's campaign.
In 2022, Abedin briefly dated Bradley Cooper, who was introduced to her by Anna Wintour. In 2011, Abedin's personal life was discussed around the world when it was revealed that her first husband, Congressman and Clinton family friend Anthony Weiner, had mistakenly posted his dick pics on the official Twitter account (blocked in Russia) of the Democratic Party. At first, he tried to deny everything, but eventually confessed and left Congress.
In 2013, Anthony Wiener was planning to become the mayor of New York, but he was caught sexting again, under the pseudonym Dangerous Carlos. Then he repented and dropped out of the race, but continued to behave inappropriately: in 2016, he sent another woman an inappropriate photo of himself, which also showed his four-year-old son Jordan with Huma. Among those with whom the former congressman corresponded and to whom he sent his photos was a 15-year-old girl.
