Shannen Doherty's Latest Photos Appear Online
The last photos of Shannen Doherty taken shortly before her death have been released, showing her strolling with her family in Malibu.
The photos are dated June 17 and show the star being embraced by her loved ones, looking relaxed and calm. Shannen Doherty passed away on July 13 at the age of 53 after a long battle with cancer. Her death was announced by the actress's representative Leslie Sloan. The star of the series "Charmed" and "Beverly Hills 90210" died surrounded by loved ones, including her dog Bowie. Shortly before her death, she asked to be cremated and have her ashes mixed with those of her father and beloved dog.
Let us recall that in 2015, Shannen Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, achieving remission in 2017. But the disease did not recede for long - it returned in 2019, and last year the actress reported that the cancer had metastasized to the brain. She herself associated the oncological disease with attempts to conceive a child using IVF.
Shannen Doherty has been open about her battle with the disease and has publicly denounced those who spread rumors about Kate Middleton having cancer. In November last year, Shannen Doherty said in an interview that she was not ready to die because she was not done loving and creating.
A year before Shannen's death, Doherty divorced her third husband, Kurt Iswarienko, after 14 years of marriage. For a long time, he refused to sign the documents because he did not want to pay alimony in the amount of about $15.5 thousand a month. The actress said that due to the lack of work, she would soon lose her health insurance and means of support: she accused her husband of continuing to live his own life, shirking his responsibilities to his dying wife. Last month, she filed a lawsuit against him to force him to pay her alimony.
Before this, the actress was married twice - first to actor Ashley Hamilton, and then to poker player Rick Salomon, who was married to Pamela Anderson and became famous for his scandalous sex tape with Paris Hilton in 2004.
