An old story about how Angelina Jolie ordered her own murder when she was 22 has gone viral online
The Internet has recalled an old story about how Hollywood star Angelina Jolie, at the age of 22, hired a hitman to kill her, as she was going through a difficult time and was considering suicide.
Jolie first told IMDB about this back in 2001: she said that in 1997, when she was 22, she was haunted by thoughts of suicide and then decided to hire a hitman to end her life. She thought it would be less traumatic for her family if she were killed, rather than herself. "This is going to sound crazy, but there was a time when I was going to hire someone to kill me," the Mirror quotes the actress as saying.
Jolie spoke about this in a 2003 interview with The Face magazine. "As crazy as it sounds, I think a lot of people think about suicide when they're young. I was very aware that a lot of people around me, like my mom, would feel like they hadn't done enough for me if I'd killed myself."
To carry out her plan, Jolie gradually withdrew funds from her account over a period of time so that it would not look suspicious. She found a man willing to do the job, but he set conditions: "He was a decent enough man and asked me to think about it and call him again in two months. Something had changed in my life, and I decided that I would hold on."
Jolie recalled the same story in 2011: she spoke with 60 Minutes and said that she was very lucky that she did not die young.
It should be noted that 49-year-old Jolie is currently engaged in legal proceedings with her ex-husband Brad Pitt: they cannot divide the Chateau Miraval winery. Amid constant lawsuits, Pitt and Jolie's children are one after another refusing their father's surname: first Vivienne Pitt did so, and then Shiloh, which, as they say, broke Pitt's heart. In total, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six children: adopted - Maddox, Zahara and Pax, as well as biological - Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. None of them communicate with Pitt and, as the press believes, the actor does not like this, so the desire to regain the children's favor may become a reason for reconciliation with Jolie.
