Ben Affleck Bought New 'Bachelor' Home on Jennifer Lopez's Birthday

Ben Affleck gave his wife Jennifer Lopez a less than ideal birthday present: he bought himself a new home in Los Angeles for $20.5 million, People reports. Lopez herself closed the sale of her New York apartment on the same day.

Ben Affleck bought the five-bedroom Los Angeles estate days after he and Lopez put their Beverly Hills mansion on the market for $68 million.

On July 24, the singer turned 55. Jennifer celebrated her birthday with a Bridgerton-themed costume party. Ben Affleck was not at the party. Her 16-year-old son Max (Jennifer Lopez also has a 16-year-old daughter, Emmy Meribel, but she was not in the frame) and the singer's manager Benny Medina were at the party.

The reason for the problems in the couple's relationship, according to rumors, was the excessive attention to their couple. According to other information, Jennifer does not like that Affleck started drinking again. They tried to save their marriage and even Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner tried to help them with this, but she eventually got tired of it, as insiders believe.

Amid rumors of divorce, Jennifer Lopez, as fans noted, has noticeably lost weight. According to insiders, Lopez is very upset because the press often calls her the culprit of the breakup: allegedly because Affleck was often sad in public with her, and smiled without her. The reason for this was said to be Ben Affleck's reluctance to lead a public lifestyle that Lopez likes
