Jordan's Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwah Become Parents for the First Time
The Hashemite Royal Court has announced that Jordan's Crown Prince Hussein and his wife Princess Rajwa have welcomed their first child, a daughter named Iman.
“May God make her the apple of her parents’ eyes,” the statement read, along with a touching video of Hussein praying while holding his newborn daughter.
On this joyful day, the couple decided to support children left without parents. They suggested that those wishing to congratulate them on the addition to the family should not give flowers and gifts, but make a donation to the Al-Aman Foundation in support of orphans.
Iman will hold the title of princess, as she is the first granddaughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. Rania, by the way, has already congratulated her son and his wife: “I thank God for His greatest gift. Our lives have been illuminated by our precious granddaughter Iman, may God bless her. Congratulations to Hussein and Rajwa, and may God fill your lives with blessings and joy.”
In addition to Hussein, who became crown prince in July 2009 at the age of 15, King Abdullah and Queen Rania have three other children: Princess Iman, who married last year, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem.
Let us recall that Hussein and Rajwa met through mutual friends. Rajwa also comes from an influential family. Her late father, Khalid bin Musaed Al-Saif, was the owner of El Seif Engineering Contracting in Saudi Arabia. And her second cousin is the crown prince of that country. The lovers got married in June last year. Their wedding was attended by British Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, as well as representatives of the royal families of the Netherlands, Belgium, Malaysia and other high-ranking guests. In April of this year, it became known that Rajwa was pregnant.
