'Recovery Impossible': Aerosmith to Stop Touring for Good After Steve Tyler's Ligament Damage

Rock band Aerosmith has prematurely ended its farewell Peace Out tour and announced that it will no longer tour due to frontman Steve Tyler suffering permanent damage to his vocal cords.

After the injury, the singer tried to recover, but the damage turned out to be more serious than initially expected. Tyler injured not only his vocal cords, but also his larynx.

"As you know, Stephen's voice is an instrument unlike any other. He has spent months working tirelessly to get back to singing like he did before his injury. We have seen how difficult it has been for him, even with the best medical team around him. Unfortunately, it is now clear that a full recovery of his vocal cords is not possible," the band said on social media.

Aerosmith said they made a “heartbreaking” but necessary decision as a “team of brothers.” The band promised to refund fans for tickets to the canceled shows. The rockers also thanked fans for their support and asked them to play Aerosmith “loud, now and forever” and to never stop dreaming.

Aerosmith is one of the most famous rock bands in the world, having existed for several decades. It is included in the list of the greatest musicians of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine. The band announced its final tour in May 2023: “After 50 years, 10 world tours and playing for more than 100 million fans, it’s time for one last push!” The band managed to play three concerts as part of their farewell tour.
