Rihanna Wears Jewels and Feathers at Barbados Carnival
Rihanna attended the annual Crop Over carnival in Barbados. The 36-year-old singer flew to her home country to participate in the traditional harvest festival for the first time since 2019. The event, also known as the Grand Kadooment parade, took place in St. Michael.
The star strolled the streets of the Caribbean island in a bright look made of precious stones and voluminous feathers. Her outfit was complemented by a headdress, which also consisted of jewelry. The singer stopped during her walk to pose for photographers, as well as take photos with security guards and fans.
Rihanna has attended the carnival, which is a big part of the island's culture, every year, but has missed the last five years due to the coronavirus pandemic and the birth of her sons RZA and Riot. The festival originated on the sugar cane plantations during slavery and marks the end of the harvest.
Earlier, Rihanna starred for five covers of the new issue of Perfect magazine. The singer tried on the image of a "mob wife" and posed with a tiger "skin".
