Keira Knightley has revealed that her daughter has been diagnosed with the same condition the actress had as a child

Keira Knightley has admitted that her daughter was diagnosed with the same condition that the actress had as a child. The 39-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star spoke about this on the Ruthie's Table 4 podcast.

The actress and her husband, Klaxons member James Righton, are raising two daughters: nine-year-old Edie and four-year-old Delilah. One of the girls was recently diagnosed with dyslexia. "We have a dyslexic child. She has an amazing memory," Kira said.

James, who took part in the interview with his wife, added that their daughter "is memorising the book and it's amazing."

Knightley has admitted that she, too, suffered from dyslexia at the age of six, and the diagnosis actually led her to pursue an acting career. "At school they said, 'Look, she can't read at all. Do you know if there's anything she needs?'" Keira recalled teachers asking her parents. "They said, 'She needs an agent.'" It was Knightley's desire to act in films that motivated her to work on her diagnosis to get good grades at school and get time off to work.

Keira Knightley and James Righton have been together since 2011. They got married in France in 2013, lead a private life and rarely appear in public together.
