Larisa Dolina sold her apartment and gave 180 million rubles to scammers. The singer made a statement
Larisa Dolina became a victim of fraudsters. The singer sold her apartment in Moscow and gave the criminals her savings totaling about 180 million rubles. The 68-year-old Russian pop star made an official statement and said that she became a victim of criminals who, according to her, are located in Ukraine.
The scammers acted according to a scheme already known to many. In April of this year, they introduced themselves as employees of the special services and convinced Dolina to sell the apartment that the scammers were allegedly interested in and transfer the money to a "safe account," the SHOT Telegram channel reports. The singer's 5-room apartment with an area of 236 square meters is valued at approximately 150 million rubles, but the singer sold it for 112 million. The star also gave the criminals "almost all" of her savings. The total amount of transfers was about 180 million rubles.
Five people were detained near the singer's house this morning. They tried to break into her apartment in an elite residential complex in Khamovniki. It turned out that they were the new owners of the apartment, who also suffered from the criminals, having bought the artist's real estate from them. The victims are clarifying the circumstances at the police station.
Larisa Dolina published a video statement in which she confirmed that she had encountered scammers. She said that the criminals were operating from the territory of Ukraine. The singer filed a police report, and her apartment was seized. Also, according to the artist, the criminals hacked her Instagram* and published posts on her behalf. Telegram reports that earlier, publications appeared on the singer's page, which said that she donated money from the sale of her apartment and dacha in support of the Ukrainian army, but later the posts were deleted.
