Kylie Jenner poses with her kids for Vogue and opens up about postpartum depression
Kylie Jenner is the heroine of the new issue of the British version of Vogue magazine: the reality TV star took part in a photo shoot with her two children, six-year-old Stormi and two-year-old Air, and gave an interview. In it, she spoke about postpartum depression, which she had twice: "Both times it felt different. With my son, there were strong emotional swings, I reacted sharply to little things that I would not normally even pay attention to. I constantly called my mother and cried hysterically that I could not even remember my son's name."
Kylie attributes her postpartum depression partly to the fact that she became a mother very early, in her early 20s: "Of course I knew I wanted a child. I've always really wanted children. But Stormi wasn't planned. It just happened."
Kylie had both children with her then boyfriend Travis Scott: after the birth of their first child, they broke up, but then rekindled their relationship. They are not together now.
Kylie noted that she is only now coming to her senses: "I'm about to turn 27 (Kylie gave the interview shortly before her birthday. - Ed.), and I'm only now finally feeling like myself. When I was pregnant, I didn't have time to understand what was happening to me, and then I had postpartum depression for a whole year. It was very difficult mentally, as well as hormonally."
However, now all this is in the past, and children are the most important value for the celebrity: “It doesn’t matter what I’m going through, what I look like, what people write about me on the Internet - at the end of the day, none of this matters. I come home and my children love me unconditionally, they are simply obsessed with me. This has taught me to look at life more simply. I know that I have these little people at home who need me, who love me and for whom I am the best in the world, so I don’t need the approval of others.”
Kylie did not talk about her boyfriend, actor Timothée Chalamet, whom she has been dating for two years, in the interview, noting only that they are doing well and that she wants to keep her personal life private. Kylie and Timothée do not talk about their relationship publicly, are not present on each other's social networks and very rarely appear together in public, and even if they do go out together, they never pose on the red carpet.
