Euro 2024 star Alvaro Morata has spoken out for the first time about his divorce and rumours of cheating on his wife, with whom he has four children
The captain of the Spanish national football team, 31-year-old Alvaro Morata, has spoken for the first time about his divorce from model Alice Campello, with whom he had four children. He said that he had never cheated on his wife.
Morata, as quoted by Football Italia, is devastated: "She is the most important woman in my life. I am tired of people saying that I was unfaithful to Alice. I did not even go to the national team party so that such rumours would not arise. Since then, I have not spoken to anyone out of respect for her, so that such news would not arise." He said that Alice did not want to move again, and in a footballer's career this is almost inevitable: this summer he changed clubs and moved from Atletico to Milan.
The footballer also noted that they were able to maintain a wonderful relationship for the sake of the children's well-being. At the same time, other possible reasons for the divorce are being discussed online: one version is Alice's postpartum depression.
It should be noted that the couple's divorce became known a week ago. Not long before that, at the final of the European Football Championship, Alice warmly supported her husband at his performances. Alice is not just the wife of a famous football player, she is a popular Italian influencer with 3.3 million subscribers. She also has her own cosmetics brand Masqmai. Alice and Morata met in 2015 on social media: the footballer noticed the girl's page and wrote to her. Morata did not immediately respond to Alice: first, she consulted with her father about whether it was worth starting a correspondence. However, she ultimately did not take his advice: he said that it was better not to deal with footballers.
In 2017, Alice and Morata got married, and a year later they had twins Alessandro and Leonardo. In 2020, the couple had their third child, son Edoardo, and in 2023, their youngest daughter Bella was born.
