Daniel Craig hits the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival with wife Rachel Weisz
The 81st Venice Film Festival saw the premiere of the film "Queer" - a new work by the director of the famous melodrama "Call Me by Your Name" Luca Guadagnino. One of the main roles in the film was played by Bond star Daniel Craig, who walked the red carpet with his wife Rachel Weisz. Among other celebrities at the premiere were Pedro Almodovar and Tilda Swinton, whose film was screened at the festival yesterday, Taylor Russell, Isabelle Huppert and others.
The entire film crew appeared in public in Loewe outfits, as the brand's creative director Jonathan Anderson acted as the film's costume designer. Rachel Weisz did not have to adhere to the dress code, and she chose a Versace dress for the event.
Based on the 1985 novel of the same name by William Burroughs, Queer is set in the 1940s and stars Craig as a writer who flees New Orleans for Mexico City to escape drug traffickers. Here he meets a young student (Drew Starkey), and his life changes forever.
