"She's still very special to me." Justin Theroux opens up about his feelings for ex-wife Jennifer Aniston amid his engagement to the young actress
Jennifer Aniston's ex-husband, 53-year-old actor Justin Theroux, has spoken about his feelings for his ex-wife in an interview with The Times. The star of the new Beetlejuice, who is engaged to 30-year-old actress Nicole Brydon Bloom, said that six years after his divorce from Aniston, the Friends star is "very dear to him" and he is ready to "protect her."
Theroux has commented on Jennifer Aniston's recent public spat with politician J.D. Vance and noted that he was worried about his ex. "She's still very dear to me, so of course I feel protective of her," Theroux said, praising Jennifer, 55, for her response to Vance. "She fought off the criticism, as she should have."
Recall that J.D. Vance told journalist Tucker Carlson, who had previously interviewed Vladimir Putin and Pavel Durov, that women like US presidential candidate Kamala Harris are "childless cat ladies who are unhappy in their own lives" and have "no direct connection" to America.
Then Aniston, who has previously been open about her infertility issues and attempts at IVF, wrote on Instagram* that she "sincerely cannot believe" Vance's words and hopes that his daughter will never have to go through IVF as a backup.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux began dating in 2011 and got engaged a year later. The actors got married in 2015 at their home in Los Angeles, but three years later they announced their divorce, noting that they remained friends.
In the interview, Justin also talked about proposing to his fiancee Nicole. "Of course I was nervous proposing," he said. "It's a question after all, so there was no guarantee of an answer. But it was wonderful."
