'It was mind-blowing': Lily Allen reveals she once spent the night at Roman Abramovich's

Lily Allen told the Miss Me podcast that she once spent the night at Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich's. In 2016, the singer came to see Prince perform on the Caribbean island of Saint Barthélemy and accidentally booked a hotel on the wrong island. Finding herself at a party with Abramovich with her ex-boyfriend Daniel Lawrence, she asked to spend the night at his residence.

"I just walked up to him and said, 'Hey, you don't know me, but I booked a hotel and it turns out the hotel isn't even on this island. This is a little bit of a bummer, but can I stay the night with you?'" Allen recalls.

The billionaire was hospitable, she says. "He said, 'Yeah, sure, sure, don't worry about it — I can put you up.' His security guard put me and Dan in one of his little cars, drove us to this house in the hills, in the middle of nowhere, and said, 'What do you want for breakfast? Let us know and we'll bring it up to your room.'"

"I woke up the next morning because we got there so late it was completely dark and I had no idea where I was. I woke up in some weird room and it was apparently Roman Abramovich's private residence on the island of St Barts and it was absolutely mind-blowing."

After that incident, Lily Allen, according to her, never communicated with the billionaire and never crossed paths with him anywhere. "He did a very good thing for me, and I am very grateful for his kindness and generosity at that time, but I don’t know if I would want to continue communicating with him."

Lily Allen has been making a lot of public appearances lately and facing criticism. She has spoken out about nepo-babies, claiming that only girls are criticized for it, and recently faced backlash from fans after she gave away a puppy to a shelter that chewed her documents.
