'Deaf and Deaf': Chester Bennington's Son Slams Linkin Park and Mike Shinoda for Replacing His Dad

The son of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington criticized the band and specifically Mike Shinoda for finding a replacement for his late father and "quietly erasing his life and legacy in real time." He wrote about this on Instagram*. Earlier, Linkin Park announced the resumption of musical activity with a new frontwoman, Emily Armstrong.

Jamie Bennington recalled Armstrong's ties to the Church of Scientology and also supported actor Danny Masterson, who was sentenced to 30 years in prison last year for raping two women.

"You betrayed the trust that fans and supporters, including me, have placed in you for decades. We believed that you would be a better person. But it turns out that you are just a senile person, and also tone-deaf."

Earlier, many fans of the band condemned the relaunch with a new soloist on social media and accused the band of disrespecting Bennington's memory. "This is not Linkin Park anymore," "Please keep the new soloist away from the good old classics," fans wrote.

Chester Bennington committed suicide in his home in July 2017. He was 41 years old.
