Dave Grohl Reveals He Had a Daughter Out of Wedlock

The Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer wrote on Instagram that he has become the father of a girl born "out of wedlock."

The 55-year-old musician said he plans to be a "loving and supportive parent" to his new daughter. He also publicly apologized to his wife, Georgina Bloom, and his three daughters: "I love my wife and my children and am doing everything I can to earn their trust and forgiveness. We appreciate your continued consideration for all children involved as we move forward together."

Dave Grohl and Georgine Bloom have been married since 2003 and have three daughters: 18-year-old Violet, 15-year-old Harper, and 10-year-old Ophelia. This is the musician's second marriage; he was previously married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood from 1994 to 1997, and his infidelity was rumored to be the reason for their divorce.

Dave Grohl played drums for Nirvana from 1990 to 1994, until lead singer Kurt Cobain died at age 27. He subsequently founded the band Foo Fighters and recorded several successful albums.
