Angelina Jolie posed for a glossy magazine with curly hair and in her own brand's outfits
Angelina Jolie starred in a fashion photo shoot for CR Fashion Book magazine, which was founded in 2012 by Carine Roitfeld, former editor-in-chief of French Vogue. On the pages of the magazine, the actress appeared in an unusual image: with lush curly hair. She also demonstrated several outfits from her brand Atelier Jolie and spoke in detail about this project.
Atelier Jolie is a project that involves working with designers from around the world to build a creative community and create new clothes from surplus, quality vintage and stock materials. According to Jolie, one of her goals was to combat overconsumption and to avoid blindly following trends.
“I wanted to start a space for creators that felt like a home. To create an understanding that our doors are open and that anyone can come and create something. For years, I’ve watched trends and anointed arbiters of taste dictate fashion. In this day and age, being able to look inside yourself and dress your own way, to truly express yourself, creatively and inventively, is a healthy rebellion.”
In a conversation with Carine Roitfeld, Angelina said that she doesn’t have a motto, but freedom has always been important to her, both her own and that of others: “If being a punk means not conforming but questioning, then that’s what I would call myself. It’s important to me to resist the way I’m forced to think, dress, or feel.”
Jolie also talked about how much motherhood has changed her. “Once you become a parent, you stop being the main thing for yourself and start living for others. It’s a wonderful feeling,” the actress shared. She admitted that she gets joint memorial tattoos with her children. For example, she and Vivian have a tattoo in honor of their experience working on the musical “The Outsiders.”
Previously, insiders said that Angelina Jolie wears closed clothes because she is constantly criticized for being too thin.
