Lerchek did not admit her guilt in court
Lerchek (real name - Valeria Chekalina), who together with her ex-husband Artem and co-founder of the cosmetics brand Roman Vishnyak were detained for two days, refused to admit her guilt in court. This was reported by Valeria's lawyer Ekaterina Gordon to the RIA Novosti publication.
Earlier, all three became defendants in a new criminal case on the fact of transferring funds to non-resident accounts using forged documents. The ex-spouses could face up to 10 years in prison, but, as TASS reports, they filed a petition for house arrest.
Ekaterina Gordon issued a statement, where she noted that Valeria had nothing to do with financial fraud. "Lera was not involved in accounting and was the face of the company, she has no property or accounts abroad," the lawyer wrote on Telegram. "The fact that a mother of three children is being intimidated and interrogated all night, not being allowed to go home, is an abuse of power and lawlessness. She did not try to run away and paid all her debts to the Federal Tax Service."
Last year, Lerchek and her then-husband Artem were accused of money laundering and tax evasion on a large sum. In January of this year, the bloggers paid off a debt of half a billion rubles. Soon after the end of the trial, Valeria and Artem, who are raising three children, announced their divorce.
