Kate Middleton visits Southport with husband after chemotherapy
Kate Middleton made her first working visit since finishing chemotherapy, travelling to Southport with her husband Prince William to meet the families of the victims of the July massacre at a dance club in which three girls and a dance teacher were killed.
The Prince and Princess of Wales also met with fire, ambulance, air ambulance and police staff at Southport Community Centre to discuss how the town is recovering from the tragedy. The visit marked World Mental Health Day, which is celebrated on 10 October.
Last week, Kate Middleton made her first public appearance since completing chemotherapy. The Princess of Wales and her husband, Prince William, met with cancer patient Liz Hutton.
In March of this year, Kate Middleton announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Before that, she had spoken about undergoing abdominal surgery and disappeared from the media, which gave rise to numerous conspiracy theories. In early September, the princess completed chemotherapy and returned to royal duties.
