Meghan Markle Attends Digital Wellbeing Event, Opens Up About Being Cyberbullied

The Duchess of Sussex recently attended an event for Girls Inc., an American non-profit organization that encourages girls to be “strong, smart and brave.”

In honor of International Day of the Girl, Girls Inc. teamed up with #HalfTheStory, another nonprofit that aims to improve the younger generation’s relationship with technology, to host a gathering to promote a new digital wellness program called Social Media U. Since The Archewell Foundation is sponsoring the project, Meghan Markle was invited to speak to the kids and share her experiences.

At the event, the Duchess of Sussex appeared in a blue J.Crew shirt, white Ralph Lauren trousers and brown Manolo Blahnik shoes, which she matched with a belt. Together with the wards of Girls Inc., she discussed the importance of a responsible attitude to technology in the digital age. In particular, according to the founder of #HalfTheStory Larissa May, Meghan shared her personal experience.

“We discussed a number of situations, and Meghan said that she is one of the most bullied people in the world,” May told Vanity Fair. However, The Post’s sources insist that the 43-year-old duchess did not utter such words.

One of the goals of the program, developed by #HalfTheStory and Girls Inc., is to encourage teens to communicate without gadgets or to use technology for creativity and positive communication.

It is noteworthy that the event attended by Meghan took place on October 2, but an article about it on the website of The Archewell Foundation has only just appeared. Many Internet users believe that Markle deliberately timed the publication to coincide with Kate Middleton's new public appearance - after completing a course of chemotherapy, the Princess of Wales and her husband made a working visit to Southport.
