"Don't Touch Me." Nicole Kidman Publicly Quarrels With Salma Hayek
A video of Nicole Kidman pushing Salma Hayek away at the recent Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week has gone viral online.
The footage, which has been actively discussed online in recent days, shows Salma wanting to take a photo with Nicole and Katy Perry. When Hayek tried to help Kidman turn to face the cameras, she pushed her hand away and said: "Don't touch me." The star's abruptness surprised not only her colleague, but also the singer. After that, Kidman kissed Perry, exchanged a few phrases with Hayek and left.
During the show, Hayek's husband, billionaire François-Henri Pinault, sat in the front row between Nicole and Salma. While the owner of the Kering holding company, which owns Balenciaga, smiled at the cameras, the actresses continued to sort things out.
The network noted that perhaps 57-year-old Nicole was in a depressed state due to the recent death of her mother. The fashion show, of which Kidman is the face, was the actress's first public appearance after the family tragedy that occurred in September of this year.
The Big Little Lies star announced the death of her mother Janelle Anne Kidman hours before she won Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival for her role in Baby. She posted an archived photo of her mother and sister on Instagram* and thanked fans for their support. "My sister, I and our family thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week."
