'Lies and Conspiracy Theories': Beyoncé and Jay-Z angered by conspiracy theories about their involvement in P. Diddy case
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have sparked conspiracy theories around them, with the idea going viral that they and P. Diddy, who is currently awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking and violence, were part of a "Hollywood gang" and killed people.
Beyoncé, in particular, is suspected by supporters of this theory of involvement in the deaths of her competitors: for example, the death of singer Aaliyah, with whom Jay-Z had an affair. This also explains the fact that many singers, such as Adele and Lizzo, thanked Beyoncé from the stage when receiving awards. The theory was picked up online, and people began thanking Beyoncé on social networks, including in the comments under her Instagram posts*. Against this background, the singer faced bullying.
"There's this weird conspiracy theory going around online right now where people are saying celebrities should thank Beyoncé in their speeches or risk being sued. It's so ridiculous it's actually funny. What's not funny, though, is the increasingly shady stuff they've been dragged into because of their association with P. Diddy over the years," a source tells In Touch Weekly.
Jay-Z is also very unhappy about his name being involved in the case. "What P. Diddy allegedly did is just evil and they had nothing to do with it. But that doesn't stop people from speculating. At first they took the position that it was best to ignore it, but now they're starting to work on it because they just can't stand by and let their reputation be dragged through the mud by lies and conspiracy theories."
Earlier, Jay-Z and Beyoncé sued a journalist who said on Piers Morgan's show that Beyoncé has more blood on her hands than P. Diddy. "Jay-Z has ordered his lawyers to go after anyone who tries to link him to P. Diddy by making false accusations. That's why he threatened to sue Piers Morgan for giving a platform to someone spreading these baseless accusations." Earlier, it became known that Piers Morgan apologized.
