Elon Musk plans to build a "family compound" for his 11 children and their mothers
Elon Musk is planning to set up a "family compound" in Texas where all of his children and their mothers will live. The businessman has already purchased three mansions in Austin, The New York Times reports.
The 53-year-old Tesla founder bought two large homes worth a combined $35 million. One resembles an Italian villa, and the other, a six-bedroom one, is located next door. A couple of minutes' drive from these two houses is another mansion - where Musk stays when he comes to Austin.
According to the publication, Elon has recently often told friends that he "imagines how his children, of whom there are at least 11, and two of their three mothers will live in neighboring houses." Thus, the businessman is sure, the youngest of the children "could become a part of each other's lives," and it is more convenient for him to plan his schedule so as to spend more time with them.
Musk's mother of three children, Siobhan Zilis, has already moved into one of the mansions with her heirs. Singer Grimes, with whom the businessman also has three children, is "keeping aloof for now." It is known that she continues to sue him over custody issues. The businessman's first wife, Justine Musk, may agree to the proposal to move. In the marriage, which lasted from 2000 to 2008, she gave birth to six children for Elon. One of them, son Nevada, died at the age of 10 weeks, and another, son Xavier, who changed his gender* in 2020, the entrepreneur called "dead."
It is also known that Musk offered his acquaintances and friends to become their sperm donor. Against this background, he was accused of sexual harassment. According to the businessman, the decline in the birth rate is the biggest problem facing humanity. The ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Nicole Shanahan, also received an offer to give birth to a child from Musk, but she refused.
Elon Musk previously moved the headquarters of X and SpaceX from California to Texas due to LGBT* laws and "violent drug gangs."
