The judge rejected the request of Britney Spears to remove her father from the position of guardian

Despite the high-profile performance of 39-year-old Britney Spears in court last week, the singer's father Jamie Spears will continue to remain her guardian-a Los Angeles Supreme Court judge rejected the request of the star's lawyer to remove Jamie from this position.

The request for the immediate suspension of James Spears as the sole guardian of the ward after the appointment of the Bessemer Trust company was rejected,

- it is said in the documents.

However, it is reported that this is not a direct response to the hearing last week, at which Spears testified against her father and members of her family, accusing them of total control over her life and bullying. So far, the judge cannot make any decision based on what she said, since Britney has yet to file a petition to terminate custody.

For the first time, the singer's lawyer filed an application for the removal of Britney's father from custody last fall, saying that his client is afraid of her father and will not return to the stage if he continues to be responsible for her career. However, even at that time, Britney's team failed. However, then Judge Brandy Penny appointed the Bessemer Trust Trust as Jamie Spears ' co-guardian, so he lost sole custody (now he is responsible for his daughter's financial affairs).

The new court documents say that the court found Britney Spears "unable to manage her finances or resist fraud or undue influence."

Since 2019, the temporary duties of Britney's guardian are performed by her father's assistant Jody Montgomery. According to the star's father, it is Jody who is responsible for the difficulties and sufferings of his daughter. Montgomery, in turn, claimed that for two years she had been a tireless defender of her ward. Speaking in court, Britney said that she was against being under someone's care, and asked for freedom and life without the control of other people.
