Selena Gomez met up with her Emilia Perez co-stars Zoe Saldana and Carla Sofia Gascon at a SAG-AFTRA event in Los Angeles this week. The 32-year-old singer kept it simple with a blazer, black top and tie.

The film "Emilia Perez" premiered in Cannes. Four actresses who played in the film - Zoe Saldana, Carla Sofia Gascon, Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz - received the prize for best actress. After a limited release in the US and Canada, the film was released on Netflix on November 1, receiving positive reviews from critics.

In the Spanish-language musical comedy, Selena Gomez plays Jessie, the main character's wife. Karla Sofia Gascon plays a cartel leader who fakes her death to undergo gender transition. Karla is the first openly trans person* to win the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
