Beyonce Takes Stage With Daughter Amid Jay-Z Rape Allegations
Beyoncé, 43, took to the stage with her 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy amid allegations of underage rape against her husband Jay-Z.
They performed during halftime of the NHL game between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens.
Beyoncé previously dropped her husband's last name: the Internet believes that the singer wants to distance herself from the scandal surrounding the rapper and protect her personal brand from reputational damage. Some also suggest that she is thinking about a "soft name change to relaunch" the Beyoncé brand.
Jay Z was accused of raping a child at a house party in 2000 with his friend, rapper P. Diddy (Sean Combs), who is now under arrest, while another celebrity looked on. Carter vehemently denied the allegations and accused attorney Tony Buzbee of attempting to blackmail him. Following the revelations, the producer, his wife, and their eldest daughter made a surprise appearance on the red carpet.
There were also many conspiracy theories surrounding Beyoncé herself, connected to the P. Diddy case: supposedly she eliminated her competitors.
