Claudia Schiffer Reveals How She Sacrificed Her Career for Her Husband and Children
In a new interview with Hello!, 54-year-old Claudia Schiffer spoke about how her priorities changed after getting married and having children. In many ways, the supermodel had to sacrifice her career for her family, but she doesn’t regret it.
According to Claudia, when she was 20 and traveling the world, all she thought about was her career – she had a strong “competitive spirit” and worked hard to reach the top. However, this changed when she became a wife and mother.
“I am proud of my children, they are very down to earth, and their well-being is a priority for me and my husband. I could go on the catwalk more often, take part in photo shoots and participate in other projects, but it is much more important for me to maintain the balance that allows me to spend time with my family and help my loved ones when they need me, and the new advertising campaign can wait,” the model said.
At the same time, she admitted that she is nostalgic for the 90s, when she, along with other supermodels (Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell) made a real revolution in the modeling business. At that time, supermodels began to create a personal brand and gradually acquired cult status. Claudia did not have a minute to rest, but, in her own words, she could get everything she wanted. Only after getting married and pregnant, Schiffer realized how special that time was, and yet she decided to give it up for the sake of her personal life.
Let us recall that Claudia Schiffer is married to 53-year-old Matthew Vaughn, a British aristocrat whose real name is de Vere Drummond. His father was the godson of King George IV. The couple has three children together: 21-year-old Casper, 20-year-old Clementine and 14-year-old Cosima. Clementine has recently been frequently discussed online, comparing her to her star mother.
