50-year-old actress Angelina Jolie visited Kherson, according to Strana.ua, citing local Telegram channels.

In published photos, Jolie is pictured wearing a bulletproof vest during a visit to a children's center. She was apparently there as part of a charity program. Jolie reportedly visited several medical facilities and interacted with children. Head of the Kherson State Military District, Yaroslav Shanko, presented the actress with a commemorative coin "Kherson."

According to Politico, Angelina Jolie did not notify the Ukrainian authorities of her visit. The actress crossed the Ukrainian border on foot. Furthermore, difficulties arose with one of her security guards, who was supposed to be mobilized at a checkpoint in the Mykolaiv region. TCC officers detained him, claiming he did not have the necessary documents. Jolie went to the TCC and asked to be released. The Mykolaiv TCC told the publication that the driver was a reservist and was required to undergo military retraining. However, the Ukrainian Ground Forces Command later revealed that the guard was a reserve officer.
