"No one in the world loves me more than he does." Meghan Markle posed for a glossy magazine and talked about Prince Harry and motherhood.

Meghan Markle is the cover girl of Harper's Bazaar magazine's new issue. The 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex graced the cover and spoke about her husband, Prince Harry, motherhood, and her career.

In the photos, Markle poses in designs from Dior, Balenciaga, and The Row, and recalls how her career path has been important to her since childhood. "I was such a nerdy little girl. My whole identity was about being smart. I love the community and the bond that comes with being in a group. I think it's very much in my DNA."

For Megan, it's important for people to see a drive to work. Then, she believes, they understand "how committed you are." "How you conduct yourself in one place is, I believe, how you conduct yourself in other places. So for me, it's how I conduct myself when I host lunches at my kids' school, how I conduct myself when I host a party for my friend who just had a baby, and how I conduct myself in my business."

Meghan's approach contrasts with fashionable modern values, which emphasize a measured life and ease, without excessive overwork. "You have to do what's right for you," the Duchess believes. "I don't like things that feel too conscious. If you overwork the dough, it won't rise. And sometimes I think people get so worked up about certain moments. They're so consumed by them that they lose the joy of why you do something. Trying to be perfect isn't much fun either. So why bother if you want to have fun?"

When asked how Markle deals with mistakes, she replied, "You learn not to repeat them. If everything goes smoothly, you're not learning. If you're not learning, you're not growing." She continues, "I'm the mother of kids at an age where they're constantly learning new things. I see them face things every day that seem completely insurmountable. But you can look back and say, 'I know this seems really hard now, but trust me, it'll be so easy soon.' I can be that kind to myself. There's no such thing as perfection. I make mistakes, too."

Meghan admitted that she enjoys working from home. "My office is right next to the kitchen. It's a real luxury." At any given moment, the Duchess and actress's daughter, four-year-old Lilibet, "comes and sits on my lap when I'm in a meeting, whether it's discussing the financial state of my brand or some creative matter."

She noted that she wanted children to see her work and "understand the value of courage." "They see that the jam was just a pot on the stove, bubbling over the fire. When you're young, you're a little more fearless, I think. As we get older, we lose some of that courage."

Megan added that she appreciates being multifaceted and not focusing on the opinions of others. "I love that I can do both—play with the kids in the sandbox and sit front row at a concert. I think the moment you start making all your personal decisions based on what others think, you lose your authenticity."

The Duchess's circle of trust is very close, and she names her 41-year-old husband as the most important person in it. "He loves me so boldly, so completely, and he has a different perspective because he sees things I don't see in the media. No one in the world loves me more than him, so I know he will always support me."

Meghan admitted that she loves Harry's "childishness," which influenced her as well. "There's something wonderful and playful about him. I was really drawn to that, and he brought that out in me. It permeates every aspect of our lives. Even in business, I want us to play, have fun, explore, and be creative."

In the interview, Markle wryly hinted that her marriage and years as a royal have taught her to assert her boundaries. "I think my boundaries have become more clear as I've found myself in the public eye in this very... [pauses and laughs]. I could come up with any adjective to fill the gap. And it would probably fit. You find different ways to protect yourself, whether it's self-preservation or just growing up."

Meghan also spoke about her appearance at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week. At the time, everyone was speculating that the Duchess had "asked" to attend, rather than simply being invited. She confirmed that she had decided to support the debut of the brand's new creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, whom she had known for many years. "I was happy for him. I contacted him and said, 'I'd love to come and support you.' We kept it a secret, and it was really fun."
