"She just took the dress without asking." Meghan Markle accused of "stealing" luxury items after photo shoots

Meghan Markle has been accused of "borrowing" items from photo shoots under the pretext that they should be stored in the "royal archives," Page Six reported, citing sources.

According to insiders, Meghan Markle took a $1,695 green dress after her 2022 Variety cover shoot, claiming it was for her "royal archive." Over the weekend, viewers noticed that she appeared again in the trailer for her show "Love, Meghan," wearing the same dress, which was rumored to have disappeared after that shoot. A fashion insider claimed that Meghan "simply took the dress without asking."

However, one source claimed the fuss surrounding the situation was unnecessary. He claimed Meghan was supposedly obligated to collect her clothes for the archives: "As a member of the royal family, she has to do this. Everyone knew that if outfits were taken for a photo shoot, they might not be returned." Despite this, no confirmation was ever found that such a rule actually existed.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Meghan has worn outfits from photo shoots. In 2022, Meghan Markle posed for The Cut magazine in a Chanel dress. This model costs around eight thousand dollars. This October, Meghan wore this dress again: she chose it for dinner at New York's SoHo House.

As a reminder, actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III and Princess Diana, married in 2018.
