"Dirty *****." Brigitte Macron publicly insulted feminists who protested against a comedian accused of rape.

Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, found herself at the center of a scandal after making unflattering remarks about feminist protesters, Politico reports.

On December 7, Brigitte and her youngest daughter, Tiffany, attended a concert by comedian Ari Abittan, who made his first appearance since the rape case was dropped. A video surfaced online of the 72-year-old First Lady meeting Abittan backstage and chatting with him before the show. During the conversation, the comedian admitted he was "apprehensive" about performing again due to a previous protest by a feminist organization that disrupted his act. Brigitte responded, "If those dirty ***** (bitches) show up, we'll throw them out!"

After the video went viral in international media, Macron's team issued an official statement. Representatives of the Élysée Palace explained that Brigitte had criticized only the "radical methods" of the protesters. However, this did not dampen the public outrage. Activists turned the insult to the French leader's wife into a hashtag, which was quickly picked up by public figures and politicians. For example, former President François Hollande, speaking on RTL, emphasized that "you can't speak like that" when referring to women who speak out against violence, while actress Judith Godrèche wrote on her Instagram page*: "I'm also a dirty ***** (bitch). And I support everyone who is called that."

Let us recall that Emmanuel Macron and his former French teacher, Brigitte Trogneux, with whom he has been in love since school days and who is 24 years his senior, have been married since 2007. The couple has no children together, but Brigitte has three children from her first marriage and seven grandchildren.

It's worth noting that the incident occurred amid high-profile court proceedings for "sexist cyberbullying" against the First Lady. Rumors have circulated online for years that Brigitte Macron was supposedly born male**. Conspiracy theorists claim that her brother, Jean-Michel, allegedly underwent a gender transition** and assumed the identity of his deceased sister. To dispel these rumors, Brigitte even expressed her willingness to provide "irrefutable" evidence in an American court proving she was born female. However, she recently discovered that she was mistakenly listed under a male name on the tax service website.
